UnitedHealthcare CEO murder suspect Luigi Mangione has been formally charged, prompting a statement from his family.

The manifesto attributed to Luigi Mangione specifically identified UnitedHealthcare, as reported by the New York Times.

Additionally, it highlighted the substantial scale of the health insurance firm and its financial earnings, according to a law enforcement official who claimed to have reviewed the document.

The manifesto also expressed disapproval of healthcare corporations, accusing them of prioritizing profits over patient care.

“It was inevitable that these parasites would face consequences,” it allegedly stated. “I extend my apologies for any distress and suffering caused, but it was necessary.”

Agents from the Pennsylvania Attorney General's Office played a crucial role in the arrest of Luigi Mangione, a suspect in the murder of the UnitedHealthcare CEO, in Altoona.

Pennsylvania Attorney General Michelle Henry stated this morning on X that, “The Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General was present at the scene to assist in the custody of Luigi Mangione following a 911 call made by an employee at a local McDonald’s.”

She further emphasized, “This successful apprehension was made possible through the effective collaboration between OAG Taskforce Agents and the Altoona Police Department. I extend my gratitude for your efforts in ensuring the safety of Pennsylvania.”
