BPSC News: Candidates have created a significant disturbance during the BPSC examination, alleging a paper leak. In an effort to restore order, the District Magistrate arrived at the scene. During this intervention, the official was seen using physical force against one of the candidates. This incident has since gone viral on social media.
The 70th Combined Preliminary Examination conducted by the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) took place across the state, with participation from approximately 483,000 candidates. A notable uproar occurred at the Bapu Examination Center in Patna, where candidates protested vigorously, claiming that the examination paper had been leaked. The District Magistrate's arrival aimed to calm the situation, but it escalated when he resorted to physical action against a candidate. This incident has rapidly spread across social media platforms.
The reason for the disruption has been clarified.
During the examination, District Magistrate Dr. Chandrashekhar reported that approximately 12,000 students arrived at the examination center. Arrangements were made for 276 candidates to sit in one room. Accordingly, each examination room was expected to contain 288 question papers in a box. However, only 192 question papers were found in the box. Consequently, it became necessary to retrieve question papers from other halls after opening the box in one hall. While transferring the packet of question papers from one examination hall to another, some students raised objections. The examination center supervisor made every effort to explain the situation to them, which took some time. During this process, he also mentioned that if additional time was required, the students would be granted extra time, but the number of students involved was approximately 150 to 200.
